Mission trip
I'm leaving Saturday for Guatemala. Its a medical mission trip. 10 of us are going. There are only 2 women going,so should be interesting! I will work in the pharmacy, gathering the meds that the docs prescribe. I'm looking forward to hearing the local church memebers pray in their beautiful quiche voices, raised in supplication to the Lord for their fellow Indians. Its awesome!

I'm still figuring out how to do this blog!
My husband made a cornhole game for my daughter. Its a beanbag game, that you toss bags (that are filled with corn) into the hole. The game is supposed to be 70 ft from where you toss the bag. If you have a friend with a corn hole, you compete as teams.
I made a wreath for a co-worker. She saw the star shaped wreath in my Martha Stewart magazine, said "Can you make that for me." I did,my first evergreen wreath ever to make! One area was a little too thick, but toward the end i was getting the hang of it.
I stitched the sampler for my oldest daughter. The navtivity scene is made from wool felt. I had the directions, cut out each individual peace, and made the hanging piece that they are placed on. I made a pillow for my stepmom that I forgot to take a picture of it when she opened it. I messed up on the directions,so I want to make another one,the way its supposed to look. I cut part of the pillow 2 1/2 inces too short,so i had to adjust the size, and the pillow is smaller than it was designed to be. Everyone liked their gifts. My daughter Laura made some gifts she saw on the SYTC blog, they turned out well. Its so nice to recieve something homemade. she also made us some cinamon-raisen bread, which i put in the freezer for now!
I hope your Christmas was full of blessings. Mine was wonderful, spent with family.

Completed craft room.
My bookcase, full of scrapbook supplies. I gave my daughter 2 boxes full of craft supplies!
The room is finished.Hubby was a trooper, the hardwood floor (actually laminate flooring) was a bit of a challenge. He persevered and installed it! The one thing that I might rearrange is the clock, and little bulletin board. I measured, put in the nails, andthen somehow they were too close. Oh well. I had a brilliant idea for my picture board. I bought some coarkboard squares,a frame and some foam board. I put it all together for an upgraded bulletin board! I love this room! Its quite the transformation. It had the original tan builders paint on it,gray carpet, and a cluttered mess. My next project is a sewing project,so I need to get moving! Christmas is closing in on me,and I have some sewing projects to get done.

Work being done on craft room.
The bookcase, table, and end table all will return to my craft room, which use to be my sons room. All the furniture is second hand. There use to be a consignment shop in town, where I bought the kitchen table, and bookcase. The end table or maybe it was a dry sink? I bought at a garage sale. It had been painted a bright blue, then i spray painted it tan,and now its white! The stuff you see on the right side is mostly photo albums, scrapbooks, and supplies for scrapbooking.I'm trying to think of a way to organize everything in a neat and orderly fashion.I saw at Lowes canvas brown bins, with blue trim.I thought I might buy those to store some things inside. I might buy some rectangular willow baskets to put the scrapbooks in. I'm not too sure how I'm going to do this.
I love this color blue, and the white trim and furniture gives it a classic look. I hope my husband can get a good start on the floor tomorrow. Its hardwood laminate, just clicks together. I'll post any updates when I get them!
